This reinterpretation of the symbolic psychiatric long seat is actually more a tool to confession than a confession in itself. The transparency, the status, and the aesthetic between comfort and incomfort of this object is for me an ode to revelation, self learning and relaxation. I wanted to create the surprise of comfort by using an unconventional material like this soft transparent pvc sheet normally used to protect tablecloth. Through this transparency, i was able to reveal and play with the mechanical structure that is holding the body.
A series of stickers were added on the steel skeleton. Inspired by the one you see on the street, these elements are for me way to ornament the city, a really detailed one, made to give a more or less simple information or symbolic meaning. Here, are represented photography i did while i was partying. The selection was made through the constraint that i had completely forgot that i've took these picture. On top of that Cedric Elisabeth made a soundscape that's plays on the headphone. He combined different recording i did while i was doing that seat. Mixing sound of tools and materials, street recording and music that was playing in the studio, he created a sound that remind me a good old house esta. A strange confrontation between rest and desire to party is emerging. Two context or body situation which seems opposite in energy but for me which favor self revelation and the urge to share it.
